For Couples:Most insurance companies have yet to acknowledge the important influence that relationships have on general health and well-being. They will therefore not provide funds for marriage or couples’ counseling unless at least one member be formally diagnosed with a mental health disorder, such as Major Depressive Disorder or Anxiety Disorder, which I will have to disclose to your insurance panel to get reimbursed.  We would have to determine if a diagnosis would be appropriate in your situation. 

Many individuals and couples prefer to pay for counseling  out of pocket rather than use their insurance because they feel  that, in this age of computers and databases, having a psychiatric diagnosis in the system may end up costing them more in the long run(for example, if you apply for private life or disability insurance, or for private health insurance if you are self-employed. )

I want to provide my clients affordable options.  I believe that there's nothing you can buy that will give you the same quality of life that a healthy relationship provides. The money you spend to resolve your relationship issues is money well spent!

   CANCELLATION POLICY

It is of economic necessity that I charge you if you fail to show for your appointment OR if you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance.  This charge is $50.
